The Vine Cinema and Alehouse
We\’ve written about this Livermore classic before and for good reason! The Vine Cinema and Alehouse is a great place to hang out with friends! Where else can you order a delicious plate of coconut shrimp, a beer and watch a great movie at the same time? You can\’t go wrong with one of their signature Kobe beef burgers, either! Grab some friends, pick a flick and settle down with their amazing food and their wine, beer or house made frozen \”Vine-a-rita\”.
Sanctuary Ultra Lounge
Known for the nightlife and lounge atmosphere, Sanctuary Ultra Lounge has built a reputation on being one of the best upscale bars in Livermore. With frequent live music, comedy shows and live DJs, Sanctuary has something different almost every night of the week! Be sure to check their entertainment schedule for the day\’s events and specials on drinks and food. Beer Baron
Located in Downtown Livermore\’s historic Schenone Building, Beer Baron is one of Livermore\’s oldest bars. Originally opened in 1914, Beer Baron has long been a favorite hang out for Livermore. With thirty craft beers on tap and over three hundred whiskeys, as well craft cocktails, Beer Baron definitely has something for everyone. A true bar, Beer Baron doesn\’t offer a food menu but they do offer great drinks and good company.
First Street Alehouse
Another restaurant we\’ve shared about in the past is the First Street Alehouse. First Street Alehouse began as the dream of two brothers and now, it is one of the beloved restaurants and bars in Livermore! Because this place began with family, First Street aims to treat every person who walks in the door like they are part of the family too. You can\’t beat the atmosphere! They keep twenty-eight beers rotating on tap and serve a lot of locally made beer and wine. First Street is also known for their food – and honestly, they had us at their beer-battered fries. Be sure to stop by if for no other reason than to check out the incredible 6,000+ collection of beer cans – the largest public display in the world!
Tap 25
This is our only choice for best bar that isn\’t on First Street! As the name implies, Tap 25 is a bar that keeps twenty-five beers on tap. Ranging from Pilsners to Porters to Brown Ales, Tap 25 has an extensive menu. Come in for a pint or try one of their beer flights! Tap 25 is a small place, but they still offer indoor and outdoor seating and live music on the patio.
The Last Word
Fittingly, we\’ll close our list with The Last Word Bar. Offering dinner and drinks, The Last Word prides themselves on being fresh, local where possible and always delicious. Because of this, their dinner menu changes frequently, so be sure to visit often! They offer beer, wine, and favorite and seasonal cocktails.
