About Livermore Rodeo
Every year, on the second weekend of June, the Livermore Rodeo rides into town. A time-honored Livermore event, the rodeo has been around since 1918. This year’s rodeo takes place June 10-11 (though there are some events leading up to the weekend, such as the Mixer Dinner & Dancing on June 7 Mixer – Dinner & Dancing (5:30 pm).
Gates open at 11am and Grand Entry begins at 3pm both days.
Leading into the opening of the gates on Saturday, The Livermore Rodeo Parade will roll through Downtown Livermore at 10am.
Grand entry is the start of the rodeo featuring Livermore Rodeo Stagecoaches, rodeo personnel, and sponsor flags, the Livermore Rodeo Queens, and visiting Queens, as well as the previous years’ Queen presenting the American Flag.

What to do until the main event…
The gates open at 11 and the rodeo begins at 3, so you’ve got time to enjoy the whole rodeo experience.
Stroll along vendor alley and check out western attire, toys, western art, food booths and beverage booths. If you’re feeling adventurous, ride the mechanical bull. For a more tame animal experience, mosey on over to the petting zoo.
On Saturday, you can enjoy the Cowboy Experience at 12:30pm
On Sunday, the most heartwarming rodeo event takes place at noon: the 22nd annual Lil’ Pardners Rodeo. Forty special needs children will become “cowboys and cowgirls for a day.”
Saturday night, keep the fun rolling at The Official Livermore Rodeo After Party from 6pm to 10pm—featuring a gourmet food truck with mesquite flair.
