The Purple Orchid Wine Country Resort and Spa cares deeply about the health and safety of our team members, guests, and community. The Purple Orchid is open under modified operations due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

In response to changing marketplace conditions, The Purple Orchid Wine Country Resort and Spa is committed to ensuring a safe and positive experience for our guests during these challenging times.

We are closely monitoring the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDCP) and World Health Organization’s (WHO) statements regarding the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) cases and following guidelines from these agencies, local health departments, and the sate of CA.

The well-being of our guests and team members is of paramount importance.

Per CA State mandate, and for the safety and well-being of all of our guests and employees, we are requiring that face coverings be worn during your visit with us. If you do not arrive with your own covering, we are happy to provide you with a disposable covering.

Our modified services and amenities are as follows:

Food is available for breakfast- guest room door or outdoor dining only.

Gathering hour will be served by room poolside (single glass of wine and boxed cheese/olive oil presentation.

The Spa is opened as of 2.1.21. We are accepting appointments for 50 minutes for massages, facials, waxing and body scrubs.

The pool has limited seating, with the hot tubs remaining closed.

Property is currently available for hotel guests only, no resort fees are being offered.

Our Commitment to Cleanliness:

In its everyday cleaning, The Purple Orchid will be using the highest classification of disinfectants recommended by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and World Health Organization to treat known pathogens.

Cleaning Regimen Focuses:

  •  Surface Areas: In public spaces, we have added to its already rigorous cleaning protocols, requiring that surfaces are treated with hospital-grade disinfectants and that this cleaning is done with increased frequency. In guest rooms, we have added to our detailed cleaning practices, requiring surfaces to be thoroughly cleaned with hospital-grade disinfectants.

  •  Guest Contact: To help alleviate the risk of COVID-19 transmission through person-to-person contact, we will be using signage in our lobby to remind guests to maintain social distancing protocols, we will remove or re-arrange furniture to allow more space for distancing. You’ll see hand sanitizing stations around the resort- near the entrances and front desk, and our team members are wearing face coverings for protection. At this time housekeeping services during your stay are not available, however we will provide additional items upon request.

  •  Food Safety: At The Purple Orchid, all food handlers, supervisors, and managers are trained on safe food preparation and service practices. Our food and beverage operation is required to conduct self-inspection using its food safety standards as guidelines, and compliance is validated by the Alameda County Environmental Health Department audits. We are also enhancing sanitation guidelines and disinfecting practices, and providing additional training for team members. In addition, we are modifying our operational practices for dining.

Our top priority is the health and safety of all of our team members, guests, and community members. We ask that you PLEASE follow the guidelines from the CDCP and take action to prevent further spread. Our company and community need to work together, and we appreciate your compliance, patience, and flexibility.
