Ease into your day hiking a trail through Sycamore Grove Park. This peaceful nature preserve is just minutes away. Wander among ancient oak trees, open meadows, and winding trails that hug the creek. The scenery is gorgeous, especially in the morning light. Their trails vary and accommodate all levels of hikers. 

It’s a quiet and perfect place to stretch your legs while getting outdoors in nature. You may even spot wild turkeys or deer along the path.

Now, the real sipping begins at Wente Vineyards. It is a Livermore icon, and for good reason. Family-owned for over 130 years, they’ve perfected their craft.

They’ve partnered with Pedego Electric Bikes and offer a 4-hour package, Thursdays through Mondays. These bikes make hills a breeze and exploring a fun-filled joy ride. Concannon Vineyard is a cornerstone of Livermore’s wine legacy. This family-run estate dates back to 1883. James Concannon, an Irishman born on St. Patrick’s Day, sailed the high seas to the land of opportunity. His parents bid him farewell with the Concannon truism, “Wisdom without compromise.”

Their rich heritage produced an award-winning wine business that survived Prohibition. In the 1950s, they hired the first female winemaker—ladies, that’s truly history in the making. The 1960s brought another historical milestone. The founder’s grandson, Jim, produced the first Petite Sirah as a varietal wine. He is now considered the “Father of Petite Sirah.” Concannon Vineyard has continued to offer innovative and full-bodied wines. 

The Terrace tasting flight includes six small-lot wines exclusive to the vineyard. The seating is comfortable. The views are beautiful. And the wine is balanced with complex flavors and aromas. Cheers!
